Explore Bus Rules - English

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome back, I hope you had a great summer.  We here at South Bay School District are very excited to provide a bus route designed for our After School Explore students. School bus transportation is the safest mode of transportation in the United States. The School Buses are engineered with passenger safety in mind and are operated by highly trained drivers. There are more people traveling in a School Bus every day than any other mode of public transportation.  With that said, almost every student is on a school bus at some point of the school year, either to and from school or on one of our fun field trips.  It is our goal at South Bay School District to get everybody where they need to go safely, and students play a big role in that. Listed below are the “rules” for our passengers to follow if they want to have the privilege to use our buses to get them to and from school daily. Please discuss these with your child, sign below and return this to your school.

  1. Please stay seated at all times when the bus is in motion.
  2. Please do not put any belongings or parts of your body out an open window.
  3. Please do not yell or scream. Always use an “inside” voice.
  4. No profanity.
  5. No fighting, pushing, hitting or otherwise causing harm to another student.
  6. Always be courteous and kind to others.
  7. No eating or drinking.

Thank you for taking the time to go over these rules together. Each and everyone plays a big role in the success of a safe and enjoyable trip for all on board. Remember that all students in grades K-1st are required to have an adult meet them at their bus stops every day.
